Anyone know how I can send items to the EU for repair and not have to incur charges - VAT

.... import tax…whatever….upon their return?

My understanding is that I shouldn't have to pay any additional charges on the value of the items, but just for materials used in the repair (a nominal amount) and the shipping cost.

Whilst I can find advice online to businesses how to avoid it / claim it back, I can't find anything with regards to individual people.

Things were so much simpler 12 months ago. Sigh.

Thanks
