Even later Just Back From the Match

Also stayed over with APjnr
Second Anfield visit in the last two weeks.
Got a taxi there from the centre, and shared it with a chap who’d flown over from Dublin with his lad whose 10th birthday it was that day. Didn’t know they were coming over until the morning. Dad is an Everton fan, son a Liverpool fan. Brilliant, the lad was soooo excited.

We were further to the front in the corner this time, coo ta wars it was beeezy and cold.
Home crowd were quieter than last match. I guess even more tourists cos it was a cup game.
I get a bit embarrassed by some of the heckling from us when clearly the home fans close to us in that corner were clearly families with little kids and tourists.

“We’ve got the ball, we’ve lost the ball” song was funny, but must be a bit demoralising for the lads.
I did sing it a lot and I think I started the
“We’ve scored a goal, we’ve scored a goal” version in our little area.

Though Zimmerman actually stopped quite a bit, especially with his head, Plantcentre was ridiculous getting offside a lot, Pukki is not who we need to rely on anymore, sad to say.

A brisk walk down the the busses laid on to ferry us back into the centre.
Had a pint in Bold St amongst stag/hen do’s and student theme nights. And a rubbish German Doner Kebab, which the server said was either chicken or beef( it was lamb of course).

Woke up at about 4:30 with an horrendous headache possibly migraine and only left at 12. Great, puncture in rear tyre (second in a week, other side though)
Found a place with something cheap, black and round. All good.
Went to IKEA Warrington and had one of the most pleasurable IKEA visits I have ever had. Got some free spares for something I needed, got a refund on some returns and managed to not buy a single thing. Winning
Ah well, we lost, not a bad showing in the second half but I was pretty ambivalent to it, which is awful to say.
Good night
