It’s a bit of a simplistic take

It is well know that players can take time to adapt to a new league / the prem. Many clubs consider it to take at least 1/2 a season or even a whole season.

Our problem is that we need cheap, prem ready players who can hit the ground running. That is a hell of a challenge.

As we’ve seen with Sarge and Tzolis, 10m buys you potential.

That’s not to say mistakes weren’t made (Gilmour) but they are partly about style and tactics as well.
