the protocol of referring to leaders by their surname is well established down the years

in the western world, not so much in eastern asia where the full name is usually cited e.g. deng xiaoping, kim jun-il, mao tse tung, pol pot etc. in the west we have churchill, nixon, thatcher, merkel, hitler, de gaul, then we get to trump which also could be argued as a form of nominative determinism in as far as him being a loud odious waft of awful stank.

johnson on the other hand isn't unusual enough in and of itself as there was a president johnson in the usa and it is quite a common name, also it is used as a colloquialism for a dick so therefore it cannot be, ah.
