That Man City not handball reminded me of a similar incident from waaaay back. Norwich at home to Wimbledon in (late) crazy gang days. Ref was Keith Hackett - widely regarded as one of the best. Wimbledon player under little pressure on the edge of the area gets an awkward bounce and the ball leaps up and veers off to the side. Dons player knocks it back under control instinctively with his forearm and smashes it clear. About as clear a handball as you’ll ever see, much more clear cut than the one yesdee, albeit it wasn’t denying an attack or a goal or something. Howls from the crowd and appeals from the players. But Hackett just waves play on and is completely adamant that it was definitely not a pen as the crowd/players roar.

I think we lost 1-0, after being s**thoused and roughed up for 90 minutes. Maybe around 1990?

Anyone else remember that?
