I think Ive made my peace

This team - this squad - is simply not good enough to compete with Premier League teams when they’re full strength, and on their game. Not even close. And that’s what happened tonight. Clearly could have been a lot worse. To get results, we need to play dysfunctional teams at a good moment for us.

There was no tension for me tonight, and I’m not really angry now about how it all played out. It is what it is.

We do still have a chance - although of course it’s becoming a long shot. But if we can get the stars to align then we can win all four of those next games, and then who knows. Not saying we will - not saying I even think it’s likely - but we might. And at this stage, all we can and should do, I think, is support the team. They’ll be plenty of time for in depth reviews and critiques of the whole season, from start to finish. But for now, let’s just give everything aa we go into these critical games.

That’s what I think anyway.
