Obviously I wanted Villa today to win but there’s a side

to me delighted to see that DS is a better manager than Stevie G and of course the wonderful Frank at Everton. When Gerrard went into Villa and they got a bit of a bounce, he was lauded by Villa fans as technically superior to Smith and that he made the team physically fitter. I wonder now how they feel now?
Have to say that I criticised the decision to oust DF and bring in Smith but clearly he has improved us in many facets. Doesn’t look like we can avoid relegation but if he can bring us back up I think we’d have a better chance to stay up.
