Used to genuinely like them. Got family from around there. Fans are “long suffering” generally decent enough, and mostly not up themselves (mostly). Soft spot from that Keegan team and the delightful madness they brought.

Now I just hate them. I just look at them as a host for a hideous, parasitic intruder helping to destroy the sport I love.

I mean, of course they’re not going down. That’s what close to 100m in January will do for you. Now Dan Ashworth is joining from Brighton, to suck down some lovely petro dollar too. And over the next two years, we’ll see a string of elite footballers beaming as they hold up Newcastle shirts. And say what a great historic club it is, and how this is a dream come true. And all that usual s**te. And in 3/4 years time they’ll be grinding clubs like us into the dust, just like Man City are now. And it will all mean…..? Dunno.

It’s all rather regrettable.
