The club put a lot

Of time and money into nurturing him. The club (the fans) are still paying his wages. In return, it/we are entitled to expect a basic level of turning up and doing a day's work every so often. So whilst I don't wish him ill, he doesn't go with my undiluted warm wishes I'm afraid. Apart from anything it's bloody annoying because he'd have been one of those we'd have hoped to cash in at some point - and that makes a real difference to our finances.
