I certainly wouldn't use the word with intent. I guess I am just edgy sometimes, but usually only with those who truly know me and so understand where it comes from. Had a few beers and so probably a little relaxed in using the term on here!

And agree on wages vs living costs. From my parents back they're all London and Surrey - they moved out due to rising costs.
