Much better thanks! (too many words)

Hopefully better for you soon. Bad cold started to ease off yesterday and our taste was only affected for about a day when it went a bit metallic and bland but been normal since. Energy levels fine. Only one kid was affected for the first couple of days and both fine since. It’s our day 5 today but no chance we’ll be negative after how dark the postive was yesterday. Kids positives finally disappeared by 6&7 and 7&8.

We asked primary school what to do about dropping negative kid on Monday and they said their policy is you can come after normal drop off is done and we can let the kid out the car and they can be taken into the school. Seems sensible, doesn’t put anyone at risk and keeps kids in education.

So for 2 year old returning to pre school today we rang up and said we’d do the same dropping him off which was apparently fine. Then mum takes him and is told she’s breaking the law and could be fined 10K for leaving the house 🙄 They then ring the school about it lol who tell them they allow it. I tell pre school it’s allowed due to ‘exceptional circumstances’ and they say it isn’t an exceptional circumstance. School also tell them they will talk to police if any parent gets ‘caught’ and pre school just told us that as pre school isn’t statutory attendance, they can’t take the responsibility from the parents for leaving their houses.

We just kept being told it’s our choice if we are comfortable breaking the law and we’ll need a negative test for Monday to take him. Thing is, you’re allowed to leave your house in your car if LFT positive to get a PCR. A bit wound up after this!
