but there's good football, and then there's Farkeball. That style differentiated us from our opponents last season and in 2019, the quality of Buendia was a big part of that of course, in combo with Pukki's finishing.

My point is, that in the absence of that standout technical quality, it is harder to differentiate in the championship. Brentford are clearly an effective side, but even they had a dodgy run of form. I felt that it was basically impossible to s**thouse us when we had peak Emi in the team, we were just so good technically, that if we had the ball we would find a way through.

We'll need to find a different way (if we're relegated) of exerting our superiority over championship teams, in particular a way of being creative when faced with teams sitting deep. Don't think we have that in our current squad, but it's not news that the midfield needs some work regardless of what league we're in.

In the long-run, I think we're unlikely to enjoy such championship domination when we're next down there (but given Buendia is gone I don't think Farkeball would have been as good either), but if we do come back up, we should have a more effective side when in the PL.
