Yes, and probably for years to come. It's commonplace in many Asian countries

past-SARS/MERS and it's common sense too. Masks protect others from me a lot more than me from others, so particularly if I've got any kind of sniffle or anything like that; but as covid can be and often is asymptomatic, and it really doesn't inconvenience me one iota, why wouldn't I? Even a small drop in transmission can make a big difference to long-term outcomes.
