He’ll face no actual consequences beyond loss of titles

and maybe a bit of money, which won’t be any kind of problem for him; and live out his days having perfectly ordinary shooting weekends and living in country piles eating nice food and drinking nice wine.

So at his utter nadir he will still command a lifestyle few will ever have access to.

I’d still rather be almost anyone but him though.
