I think that Webber spoke about this before

He didn’t sign his contract very quickly post promotion because we weren’t offering what he thought we should be, and then when he did sign, it was for a shorter period. Presumably on the basis that he was told to get out there and prove that he’s worth more.

I’m guessing that could well be an ongoing sticking point on any future contract, but that bit is speculation. Pretty sure the bit above came from Webber.
