It actually causes me professional pain to see how badly his "legal" team has dealt with

this claim. They have taken every s**t option available to them and ignored all the good ones.

I guess that this signifies that he is going to withdraw from the case and submit to a judgment in default rather than be cross-examined, and HRH has told him that in that case he is going to be cut orf.
