which includes a relegation followed by another promotion. On paper the plan looks great, but in reality, your best players aren't going to hang around that long.

You get one shot in the Prem with players like Buendia and Godfrey; if you waste it by not supporting them with new signings, then they won't hang around for another cycle. And the odds are stacked against you trying to attract players of suitable quality as a replacement.
