the 4-2-3-1, even with Emi, was utterly hopeless last time too (1 solitary goal in those last 10 games). The tippy tappy possession stuff was never going to create anything at this level with players we could afford. The seeds for this season's disaster were laid last season when we went to an even more slow and deliberate tippy tappy possession based approach than we had for the 18/19 promotion. That approach can only work if you can consistently dominate with 60-70% possession, and while we could do that in the Champs we never will at Prem level. We needed to be faster, more direct and more physical and we needed to start being that last year.
