Most of my course mates stayed in chemistry or thereabouts.

I went off on a bit of a zigzag of a career before doing the degree in mathematics and physics. I actually started doing two degrees (one in mathematics and one in astrophysics) but I was pressed for time in getting a degree for career purposes at the end so combined them into a joint honours degree. A pretty hefty one, mind, as all the modules I did are linked to it.

Since then mostly worked with machine learning (mainly deep learning) but am now in the process of moving carer to quantitative analysis in financial services. Currently at various stages in a number of applications at the moment!
