Football is not as it was in the 70s and 80s, as this lot are sure to discover, hopefully sooner rather than later. They would be best advised to listen to what their fellow Norwich fans are saying to them because there are places where acting like that will earn them a proper, oldskool kicking.

Are they local or is it a London contingent who've tacked themselves on to the club? I was in Capital Canaries for a couple of decades and there was none of that nonsense, though the odd "interesting" character emerged. But it's notable that the racist abuse Idah got was after a London game and there was other idiocy from "our fans" - I use the term loosely because I'm not convinced they really are - at another recent London game.

We can all disagree about what it means to "really support" a football team but acting like this isn't it.
