We've not made a lot of friends this season.

From the Times article labelling us as annoying, the widespread condescension from talkSPORT et al, the Guardian calling us Premier League in name only - it's been hard to say they're wrong, unfortunately.

Now we have a group of fans who appear to not know how to support their team. The singing about how s**t we are has been a recurring feature for a couple or three seasons now; remember one of the Murphies getting "What the f**king hell was that?" after shooting over during a poor display? As someone else said, it's gallows humour if it's funny and self-deprecating, not arrogant and spoilt. I have to ask: are these people who have grown up supporting a big 6 team and switched to us when we got promoted? They don't seem comfortable supporting us. If they were, it'd be like something they'd grown up with and they'd be able to cope without bleating their piss out.
