Honi Soit Qui Mal y Pense.

What was the alternative?

Perhaps he would have preferred a world where Saddam Hussain was deemed a “fit and proper person” to buy a Football club (probably with the money that he was discovered with in a rat hole). It is easy to sit and pontificate in the back woods of Dereham but the actions of Bush and Blair made life safer for the world for a short time.

The lack of plans for peace/trying to impose western democracy on a culture based on religious sectarianism was never going to work but we no longer look at someone carrying a backpack on a train as a potential terrorist.

As Bojo is finding out (like call me Dave before him). It’s tough at the top and the buck stops with you.

As Tom Tugenadt basically said after the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan which was basically drop everything and run “Winning wars is the easy bit. It’s winning the Peace that is more difficult” and Blair is not responsible for that failure.
