Delia and MWJ mentioned the "chancers" looking to invest.

What theses chancers are actually doing is looking to buy the club with the clubs own money!

You gain majority shares in a club for say 100M and then you have a regular payment plan back to you.
Eventually you own the club with all the money being paid back to you by the club.
You have essentially bled the club of funds but now own the club.
