She was a poor candidate

Very much a Washington Insider and representative of a lot that needed (and still needs) to change. The distance between a Washington view and a real world view - the thing that Trump exploited to get in - is almost ideally represented by HC. If she’d won the US would have had quite a sequence of Bushes and Clintons.

I’d much prefer someone like Kamala Harris - though interestingly she’s not done that well in primaries - or Mayor Pete who did brilliantly starting from nowhere. Hillary would certainly have been better than Don at actually doing the job, of course; but so would Barry Chuckle, quite honestly.
