And the cars are running in order, 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc

Plus, it’s not fair on the lapped cars, as they can’t race each other while constantly being blue flagged.

Normally when lapped cars are in the way, the whole pack isn’t bunched up on the same part of the circuit as they are behind the safety car.
