I think last night prooved that Jacob is a centre half. He did Ok in midfield but the thing I noticed was that he really didn't show for the initial ball from the centre backs when he was playing in midfield and didn't create any angles where they could use him. So when we had the ball he was completely bypassed. He was effective defensively in that role, but looked so much better when he dropped back, and could bring the ball out. He is quick enough, strong enough and tall enough to play at centre half, has a great range of passing and I think we could do far worse in that position particularly in a 3. He is a very decent player but can understand why he hasn't been used on midfield
