So.. Placheta, Cantwell or Dowell up with Pukki and Sarge tomorrow then?

Thought Placheta looked a far better player than he did last year, but it could also be the fact that he was playing on the right of a 4-3-3 (where he seems to play for Poland and looks more comfortable) rather than the left of a 4-2-3-1.

Dowell offers creativity and set pieces but lacks the pace. Cantwell. Well. Who knows which Cantwell we will get game to game? He does slow the game down a bit at times so I suppose it depends on the plan vs Villa.

Also not sure if it was just my perception, but while Placheta seemed far more comfortable on and off the ball and made better decisions that in his first season, he didn't seem to have the same blistering pace. Not sure whether that was to do with the system, the pace of the defenders, or whether his long term Covid problems have affected his speed. Didn't look slow, but a couple of times I expected him to destroy a defender but lost out.

Am assuming Sarge will start anyway. Thought he did well. Just think the lad needs a goal.
