1. Let all lapped cars unlap and take the safety car off in the following lap. Hamilton wins.
2. Don’t let the lapped cars unlap and take the safety car off in time for the final lap. Max might have won but he’d have had a 3-4 second gap to close and 5 cars to get past in the process so unlikely as he prob wouldn’t have been able to get at Hamilton til too late.
He chose the one, made up, mixture of the two that basically made it completely unfair and is not in accordance with the regulations.
I think Mercedes’ are 100% in the right here and the FIA and Race Director have been a disgrace. But whether there comes a point where you a flogging a dead horse is a different matter.
