The strategists and luck won it

Had Merc pitted on the earlier incident they might have lost track position (though H was on fire so not sure it’d have lasted) but if so they’d have been in RB’s position to switch to softs at the end and win it.

Best driver lost, best racer won IMO. Hamilton should be able to do more next year with a better team partner. The 8th will come.
