You see it everywhere, concerts in particular

Rather than live in and enjoy the moment, try to get the best possible footage so other people can say what a great time you must have had - only you were concentrating on getting the best possible footage rather than living in that moment and letting it subsume you just a little bit.

In other words reducing the intensity of your own experience in order to display to other people the experience you could have had if you hadn't been so busy filming it; and watching it on video is never the same as being there be it football or music or whatever.
