I don’t disagree but that is expanding the role of VAR

It would rapidly turn it into being the decision maker, not just a sense checker.

Need better training for referees (pitch and var ones) to get the first instance judgments right. Get them all on a Zoom call, replay that decision and set the standard going forward for whether it is or isn’t a pen.
