but that wasn't my point - which was that the decision to be open was deliberately to allow more people to get covid before winter - which seems pretty sensible compared with elsewhere - tho it didn't stop the whole "plague island" conceit which now seems to have been shuffled off to an early death somewhere - & now they've gone bonkers anyway with the plan B nonsense
