Yes, signings at any price point are hit and miss

At the £8m-£10m price point they’re realistically, not going to be good enough at prem level 7 times out of 10.

I think the recruitment has improved the squad, but to be where we needed to be also needed to either keep hold of buendia, or spend an extra £20m on one extra player. Even that wouldn’t have guaranteed anything though.
