I think there was an element of self preservation there and perhaps a lack of pressure on

him personally to actually keep us up, or at least a perceived lack of pressure.

But make no mistake about it the biggest difference by a mile is the work we are now doing without the ball and the way they are starting to press at the right times and in the right places.

I genuinely believe that farke and his coaches did not work on that side of the game anywhere near enough. It was all about being good on the ball and technically good. Defensively we just used to stick everyone behind the ball but half of them werent actually marking their mean or doing anything. We often had twice as many players back as the opposition had forward yet still left men unmarked.

We have also rediscovered a directness to our attacking play but I think that just comes from having attacking players beck in the side and in form.

Despite his missed chances, i thought Pukki looked extremely sharp on saturday.
