The African covid figures astound me. And the argument isn’t that they don’t record

Stats etc. their hospitals are not over run, friend working in Nigeria reports. So how have they done so well over there. Is it the medicine they take for malaria etc. I’m genuinely interested as to why western countries are plagued with covid, but African ones have barely any.
