I hope you’re right

But my doubts remain. This virus is extremely adaptable and while there are encouraging signs now, the UK still has an insane daily infection rate and the chances of a new, troublesome variant emerging are high. IMHO hospitalisations now are not a good indicator of where we’ll be deep into winter. As I say, hope I’m wrong and the decent vaccination rates are not undone by a new variant or fading immunity levels.
