As to your first point i would wager that there is not a single person on this board who has not at some point said something that would now be considered racist, oarticularly by current day standards. If that makes us all racists then so be it, the whole world is racist.

Consistently doing it or doing it with intent to offend is a different matter, especially if you know what you are saying is offensive. Gary Ballance does not come out of this whole episode well at all.
