I felt the same with Lambert, I really lived that team was at a time I had an ST

I'll never forget watching that performance against Arsenal at the end of that season where he was clearly working on the next seasons shape.
Going forward we were amazing and the signs for the season after were so positive, I remain utterly convinced he'd have got us in Europe.

The reality of his career after suggests the opposite, so perhaps it ended at the perfect time, but not getting to see his second season team will always be a regret for me.
