We see the world not as it is, but as we are

When people post on here or (which is far worse) the FB groups they're really saying a lot more about them and what's going on in their lives than about the football club or what's happening with it (which in all honesty none of us know and few if any of us have the expertise to judge - it's a hugely complex operation with an awful lot of moving parts and there are objectively correct answers/approaches to almost none of it).

Pretending the football stuff is all a bit easy with blindingly obviously solutions and anyone who doesn't see it as any given poster sees it is an idiot/is a bad person/is obviously wrong/lacks their own wisdom and judgement/is incompetent or negligent or stubborn or wilful and so on fills a need which is not being met in other parts of life.

I wish, as with many other areas (politics, religion, etc) we could accept there are different approaches and views without this constant ad hominem vilification of individuals, known or unknown. I do accept that this is just how the world is now, and maybe always was and I just didn't realise; but it makes me sad.

It would be nice if the fact we're all Norwich fans led us all to be a little bit kinder to each other, and indeed figures at the club, than we seem to be.

Hopefully Smith gets a few wins early doors and we all start pulling together again. But even if he doesn't, I still hope we all start pulling together again, honestly.
