Likewise the stuff around Smith would be need to know.

Clearly has a source at the Club that’s able to tip things that are about to hit the media or which the club is happy to be known more widely

That source isn’t necessarily going to know everything or be current all the time or want to reveal all or (shock horror) not be giving out false trails

Why anyone gets riled up about it is beyond me
