Both sold our best players and replaced with a lot of new signings. The two managers both struggled to come up with a plan for how to use the new signings in a system. Both sacked.

I actually think Smith deserved a bit more time to bed in the new signings after the credit he had built at the club last season. Definitely deserved more time than Farke. So it was a harsh enough sacking.
