When he was with Brentford they spent a lot of money and went through a lot of players. The media hyped up their attractive football but that wasn't reflected in their performance as they finished 9th, 10th and 9th in the Chumps during his time with them.

He took Villa up via the play-offs but with the squad and resources they had I'm not sure that is much of a ringing endorsement. Fair enough they stayed up in the Prem but that was more down to Grealish than anyone else. They have certainly underperformed this season.
