I think a couple of your examples above are bonkers, but it's all about opinions

O'Neill was lied to point blank about our budget. That's why he joined us in the first place. Chase started playing silly buggers so off he went. He was quite right to get the hell out of dodge given what we were heading into.

Lambert was a very driven, restless man. Who knew it was all going to blow up at Norwich at some point. His drive is exactly what enabled us to do so brilliantly in the first place - it's just that he got his next move every bit as disastrously wrong as Walker. Everton and Villa broke both men.

Walker was on a scandalously low salary. Really disgraceful. Chase refused to put it up, refused to give him proper job security... then had the brass neck to demand tons of compensation from Everton for someone he hadn't valued!

I agree with you on the Chelsea thing. It's kinda like this. I think we had 0% chance of staying up with Farke (with yesterday even confirming that in a weird sort of way, given how badly we struggled in the second half); only 10-20% chance if we get the next appointment right. But a small chance is better than no chance at all.
