Would seem that he was going to get the boot tonight irrespective of today's result (the fact we won probably made it trickier slightly) so the Board obviously think we must have a change of manager to try and keep us up. That decision was always going to be this w/e with the International Break approaching.
The other assumption we must make is that there is someone lined up, otherwise we are are ******. Please let that part be true. I expect it will be someone obscure - who had heard of DF or Alex Neil before they joined?
Personally I don't think it's right, but I think a lot of our emotion is because this act has come on a Saturday night after a win. Our first but only win...Had we lost today this board would be thinking very differently. DF has been fantastic for us, but what is the most important? Staying up (or at least making a fist of it) or having a nice manager and holding the record for promotion and relegation to the Premier League? The Board obviously think we will not have a chance of staying up if we don't make the change.
As I said I personally don't agree so on their heads be it, we are only supporters. Thank you sincerely for the past 4 years Daniel.
Onwards we go. OTBC.
