Other than those 83 chances created he was also ranked in the top five Premier League players for tackles attempted (162) dribbles completed (102) that season.

In December of that season he created the most chances of any Premier League player in a single calendar month (29) since Opta stats began in 2003/04.

That was whilst playing in a team that finished fourteen points adrift of safety on twenty one points - he may well flop at Villa, but he's an exceptional talent, and you really don't get many of those going for c.£35m...
