Why pay even a kid on the Internet a fee when you can just hand it in to the kit maker's random kit generator fruit machine?

Alternative answer - designed by committee (see weird waffle about how the kit design choices reflect the culture and values of the club... Unless that was purely about the change in sponsorship...?)
