the way I see it is that here VAR is an additional layer of 'jobs for the boys' and it's role and prominence is only ever going to increase over time in order to secure what is an additional way of leeching money out of the EPL.

The answer to 'how do we make VAR better?' is not going to be: 'we need fewer decision points for the VAR referee and less technology'.
