What makes it seem less of a success....

is that we'll probably never ever have such a fantastic chance. Literally everything was stacked up in our favour - no significant injuries, playing nearly every game at home, the draw working out so favourably etc. Heck, even Italy being struck down with injuries to key players before and during the final. And yet we STILL couldn't get the job done, even after taking an early lead (although this one is hardly a new phenomenon - see the 96 & 18 SFs and the 2004 QF for instance).
