Knee first, then hip. I just do not get the idea that it was a dive

The defender cynically does the "run across him while innocently holding hands up to indicate that I'm not trying to foul him honest ref" thing. His right knee makes firm contact with Sterling's right knee. It's not a brush, it's a good firm contact - on the slowmo you can actually see the flesh on Sterling's leg on the OTHER SIDE of his knee rippling from the force. Of course he went down, he was going at full tilt.
