First car was a Metro City I bought new on the way home form my test

Didn't learn to drive until my late 20s, so a bit more cash than the average learner. When I got a company car I sold the metro to my eldest sister, gave her independence and self confidence in her 40s as she returned to work. She drove it until my Dad dies when she bought an A1 with part of her inheritance.

Favourite probably my last company car which I bought when I left, a Mondeo 2L auto. I drove it for 13 years until it was starting to cost too much to repair. I worked out that over 70,000 of the 120,000 miles I did in it were to and from football in Norwich.

Best car has been Audi A3 (yes, CIA). On my second, the first one did a lot of miles to Norwich again and to Leicester for work, a dream to drive on the motorways and A roads and particularly on the congested A34 / M3 / M25/ M11 / A11. I love adaptive cruise control.

I am seriously thinking of not having a car once the contract is up, I am now a home worker permanently and stopped going to football after the Blackburn promotion match, I get everything delivered. Cheaper to get taxis when I need to go somewhere.
